I feel humbled by the calling to serve Lithonia Adventist Academy as principal. I have taught at the junior college as well as the K 12 levels covering both public and Seventh-day Adventist Schools. I have also enjoyed serving as an administrator in the K-8 setting for 20 years. My experience at Lithonia Adventist Academy started in 2015 as a middle school instructor delivering instruction in Bible, Language Arts, and Social Studies. I continue to enjoy every bit of the spirit-filled family environment that our campus provides.
Adventist Christian Education challenges all children to be independent thinkers with a passion for lifelong learning. I believe that every child can learn and desires to excel, given a positive nurturing environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family. My philosophy hinges on a Christ-centered program in combination with a rigorous standards-based curriculum that empowers students to be successful as they grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
I currently hold a BA degree in Business Studies/Curriculum and Instruction from Cape Coast University in Ghana, and a Masters and Education Specialist degree in Administration and Leadership from La Sierra University, CA. I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree at La Sierra University.
Whenever I am able to find time for leisure, I enjoy traveling, photography, and reading. My strength and encouragement come from the following Scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
